Kaitlin Briones

2023/2024 California Young Artists Expo High School Chair (Summit Denali High School)

Kaitlin Briones is the High School Chair of the California Young Artists Expo. Currently, she is a Senior in high school. Dancing for 14 years, she believes that dance is not only a physical exercise but an art form, allowing her to express herself beyond words. Her classical training includes ballet, tap, jazz, and contemporary; with a current focus on contemporary, ballet, and hip-hop. She has also played lacrosse for 8 years and is looking forward to continuing in college. In addition to dance and lacrosse, she loves to sew. During the shelter-in-place period in 2020, Kaitlin gained recognition for her sewing skills as she made and donated masks to frontline healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her efforts caught the attention of local news outlets and the San Jose Sharks, who made a feature story about her. She is excited to be a part of the second California Young Artists Expo and hopes that her skills and experience can help to further grow and develop this program.
